As a person who has worked with children with ADHD. I do agree that many children are misdiagnosed. My son was one of those children. His problem goes way beyond ADHD. It ended up being diagnosed as PDD-NOS which I am stillnot convienced that is totally it. However, there are ligitmate cases of ADHD and you can who truely has it and who may be faking it. Just because a child doesn;t sit still or seems to be off in antoher world doesn't mean he/she has ADHD. I have a granddaughter who was just simply bored. She already knew what the rest of the class was working on therefore needed to be challanged further. Time needs to be taken to determine a correct diagnosis. the cooperation of the parents teachers and professionals trained in this area. A regular MD is not this person.

Danese

there are also some adults who have it and was not diagnosed as children and upon learning that they have it, they are not being treated correctly. They are being treated like drug addict junkies.
